What an idiot I am. I’ve just finished doing 10 rounds with Google Adwords.
I mistakenly amended my max cpc for a keyword from £0.45 ($0.72) to £55.00 ($88.00) instead of £0.55. The upshot now is that I have accrued charges of £454.09 ($726.83).

What an idiot I am. I’ve just finished doing 10 rounds with Google Adwords.
I mistakenly amended my max cpc for a keyword from £0.45 ($0.72) to £55.00 ($88.00) instead of £0.55. The upshot now is that I have accrued charges of £454.09 ($726.83).
I appealed to Google who replied the account holder is responsible for all activities within the account therefore responsible for payments accrued.
I did suggest to them (as an attempt to provide good customer care) that all what is needed is a minor software change to prompt the account holder if making such large changes to ensure that is what was intended. Then that would mean that they wouldn’t get these large sums of money when their customers make mistakes.
Oh, did I mention I only got 54 clicks and NO conversions - this was a new keyword I was trying out.
Message to everyone else….double….triple check your adwords edits before saving.
I have been working away from home these past few months and regrettably didn’t take my laptop with me.
So its back to studying and developing my IM business. I’ve really missed it….must becoming a passion heh?

Who would believe it!!!! Christmas Eve and I get hit by various Trojan Viruses which leaves my PC totally inoperable.
Unable to boot my system as my Master Boot Record had been scrubbed.
I was left with no other option than re-installing Windows XP.
The Installation process didn’t resolve the MBR issue. Not yet sure of the issues [...] [...more]
Who would believe it!!!! Christmas Eve and I get hit by various Trojan Viruses which leaves my PC totally inoperable.
Unable to boot my system as my Master Boot Record had been scrubbed.
I was left with no other option than re-installing Windows XP.
The Installation process didn’t resolve the MBR issue. Not yet sure of the issues behind that yet.
I have found a temporary fix by piggy back loading my system off of a floppy disc. I knew that portable USB floppy drive would come in handy one day.
Attempted to install the SP2 maintenance software but get an insufficient space error and the installation is aborted. I have 23GB spare so don’t understand this.
Fortunately my majority of my personal data was backed up to my portable hard drive, so was able to restore that ok and I have only lost about 10 days of emails.
I hope to have my system back and running within 7 days and be able to put all this hastle behind me.
All part of life’s rich tapestry I guess….Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I will then be able to resume my training and business development once more.
Time now to go and see what has been happening in the world!!

As you can see there has been a good increase in traffic albeit no conversions yet. I will remain positive and continue with my Traffic Building.
